Md. Mostafa Hosain is an Assistant Professor at School of Law, Brac University. Prior to that, Mr. Hosain was serving as Senior Lecturer and then promoted to Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, Eastern University. He has been affiliated with Kathmandu School of Law, Purbanchal University, Nepal as Visiting Assistant Professor since 2019.

Mr. Hosain completed Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and Master of Laws (LL.M, 2-years course) in International Law from South Asian University (SAU), New Delhi, India. He was awarded SAARC Gold Medal for distinction in LL.M. He pursued a One Year Post Graduate Diploma in ‘International law and Diplomacy’ from Indian Academy of International Law. Mr. Hosain earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) from the Faculty of Law, University of Dhaka. He received certificate from University of Faroe Island, Denmark and African Institute of International Law, Tanzania. 

Mr. Hosain conducted a research project under SDG from the the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliament Affairs, Government of Bangladesh. He worked in that giagntic project as 'legal expert'. He was awarded 'Best Teacher' by International Association of Universities (IAU) and UNESCO in 2019. He collaborated projects with Grotius Center of International Law, Leiden University; IAU and UNESCO; Brac University's Center of Research; Eastern University Research Center and many other forums. 

Mr. Hosain published book chapters, journal articles and research papers from Routeledge, Springer, Kluwer International, Brill Martinus Nijhoff and many other renowned international and local publications. He presented papers in more than dozens of conferences including in National University of Singapore and Indian Society of International Law. He is also regular contributor to the national daily newspaper writing on cutting edge issues. Mr. Hosain appeared several times on national television channels as discussant on legal issues. 

Mr. Hosain is an enrolled advocate at the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and Dhaka Judge Court. He is a member of Institutional Review Board, Directorate General of Health Service, Ministry of Health of Bangladesh. He is a member of Asian Association of Law Professors and Asian Academy of International Law. A polyglot to have excellent skill in Bangla and English as well as conversant in Hindi and Urdu languages, Mr. Hosain is learning Arabic. Currently, he is pursuing PhD on cyber security in University of Malaya, Malaysia.
